Soul’d Out Christian Center, is a non-denominational, non-profit, Word teaching and Christ centered ministry. Alexander M. Toeaina, founder, pastor and president of the S.O.C.C., received the vision of the ministry in 1990 . Recognizing a ‘Neglected Generation’, and hundreds of people being victims of Abusive Spiritual Dictatorship in God’s House, God instructed him to teach the Word of God with “Simplicity” and with clear “Understanding”, so the truth could be applied and produced in the everyday life of the believer. As a result, believers become “Radical Soul Winners” by changing their homes, work places, and communities to reflect the Word of God in their lives. While working for the San Francisco Unified School District and attending Shiloh Bible College, he began carrying out the assignment God had given Him in the “Boiler Room” of his work with his long time friend Armando Dominquez. S.O.C.C. is the result of his home Bible Studies. The teachings attracted outside attention in the Bay Area. He began teaching Monday evenings in Palo Alto, Wednesdays in the Hood (Hunters Point, Potrero Hill, and the Alemany Projects, etc.) and finally the East Bay in Alameda on Thursday evenings. God’s order was to teach only! God specifically instructed him; “...Don’t tell the people what to do - just teach my Word.” The results are overwhelming with hundreds being saved and set free by the Word of God. Sunday, September 15, 1991 (a day we will never forget), a total of 16 people in attendance (8 was his own family including him). We were a little insecure, but pastor was ‘Radical!’ about his new assignment. Our first worship service was held at Calvary Christian Center in Alameda and Pastor jumped on the B-3 Hammond organ and conducted praise and worship as if 1,500 people were in the building. At one point, he stopped and told us, “Move up closer, stop trying to make the building look full!” Thirteen years and a handful of believers later, he is still RADICAL! He continued to strengthen the foundation teaching on the “Real Will of God,” until God commanded him to “Stand up the ‘Pillars’ in my House.” In the winter of 1992 God instructed him to start a church where His people would be taught how to live victoriously. Many received Christ, but are not committed to His Word. An important part of the Vision required His people to not only hear, but to “obey” the Word of God. Saturday, April 24, 1993 Alexander, his wife Fiaau and their 6 children were ordained to be pastors of the Soul’d Out Christian Center by Dr. Violet Kiteley of Shiloh Christian Fellowship, Oakland, CA. The church was dedicated with 34 families. Currently the records show over 95 families and a host of singles and regular visitors (an average of about 15.8 families per year.). His Vision is extended to the Evergreen State of Washington, where Andrew & Maile are pastoring our sister branch in Seattle, Washington. We also opened another branch down in Monterey, California; Pastor Kitiona & Felefele Tautolo are pastors there. S.O.C.C. is being used by God to inform, instruct and teach His people to be overcomers in this life. The basic foundation of this ministry is that... “Teaching is the only Cure for Unbelief...” God told our pastor “My people are destroyed because they lack knowledge...”, (Hosea 4:6). It is crucial that the teaching of God’s Word be taught with simplicity so that believers are not just able to understand, but to act upon His Word.
