| FOR THE SAKE OF MONTEREY COUNTY... "Is There Not A Cause?" Soul'd Out Christian Center International & Soul'd Out Youth Programs Requesting Support from the Public. THANK YOU ALL for your Generous donations/contributions to this GREAT Cause. However, we are still short of our goal of $50,000. Dear Family, Friends, Parents, Neighbors, Supervisors, Representatives, Co-Workers, Business Owners, Community & County Citizens: We at SOCCI are asking for your financial support to help keep the doors OPEN. Since we've occupied this building (April 2008) we have been able to get more involved with the community & offer more programs/activities. The events/programs/activities that we currently offer are open to the public & benefits the whole Monterey County (multicultural: individuals, children, youths, teens, young adults, adults, seniors, single parents, parents, co-workers, business owners, & citizens). Our doors are open 7days a week. ANNUAL EVENTS (ALWAYS FREE): Hip Hop & Oldies Sunday (reaching out to the Baby Boomers & Hip Hop generations), Easter Eggstravaganza (25,000 eggs in 2009), 4th of July Bash (bbq, games, contests, prizes, & lots of fun for the whole family), Back to School Picnic (preparing youths for the new school year), Youth Conference (dealing with today's peer-pressures as a youth & how to over-come them, teen pregnancy, drugs/alcohol, school, family, & life) Halloween Candy Explosion (games, contests, prizes, entertainment, & lots of candies), Christmas Gift Give-Away (gave away over 1,500 gifts in 2009), & Community Field Days (bbq, jumpers, games, entertainment, offering resources, & distributing clothes/shoes) PROGRAMS-MUST BE REGISTERED (FREE): Mentorship (assigned mentors who work together with the student, parent(s), principal, & school to ensure the student is not only on track but stays on track), After School Tutorial (Mon-Fri 3:30-5:00pm for those in kindergarten-12th grade who need assistance with their homework), Sports (tournaments: basketball, softball, & volleyball-soccer coming soon), Sand Beach Workout (10 Saturdays of physical/mental conditioning to prepare the student for sports & life), Move-Up Rally (honoring/awarding graduates & those moving up to the next grade level-Middle & High School), & AA Meetings (Mon-Sat 2:00-3:00pm) We have affected many lives in Castroville as well as the surrounding cities (Prunedale, Salinas, N. County, Marina, Seaside, Monterey, PG, Carmel, Greenfield, etc.) where many of our members & visitors live. We are not funded by any state or federal grants nor do we have any private sponsors at this time. 90% of ALL the events/programs/activities are funded by the Leaders, who are strictly volunteers of 5yrs or less. If you are in agreement with the many things that we do & offer and would like to support our cause to "Keep the Doors OPEN" you may do so by: 1-making a one time monetary donation OR 2-become a partner & make a monthly pledge.
